I am an undergraduate student at Temple University. From a young age, I developed a joy for writing short stories and plays. However, my greatest love was (and will always be) poetry. Throughout my elementary, middle, and high school years I have written poetry as a form of creative and emotional expression. Poetry has brought me through many rough times, and has taught me the healing power of words. It is the reason I am still here today, and it is the reason why I’ve decided to venture onto WordPress.
As a Public Health major concentrating in Social and Behavioral Sciences, I believe my career paths are unlimited. I hope to one day encourage people in the black community to jump-start their healing process through holistic health education, spiritual exploration, creative outlets, and more. From my own experiences, I believe generational trauma is real, and I also believe that it can be conquered, day by day, one step at a time, one poem at a time.
With love and gratitude,
